2. Services Provided

Proofit Proofreading provides proofreading and copyediting services. We offer these services on a per-project basis, where clients specify the type of service required (proofreading or copyediting), the word count, and the timeframe for completion.

3. Client Responsibilities

Submission of Content: Clients are responsible for submitting content that is accurate and complete. We will not be held liable for any errors or omissions in the content provided.

Accuracy of Information: Clients must provide accurate word count and other project details upon submitting their request for services.

Timeliness: Clients must specify a reasonable deadline for delivery. If no deadline is specified, the default timeline will be determined by Proofit Proofreading.

4. Pricing and Payment

Estimates: Clients can obtain an estimate for services via the webchat widget on the website. The estimate is based on the specified word count and timeframe.

Payment: Payment is required upfront unless otherwise agreed. Proofit Proofreading accepts payments through [list payment methods].

Refunds: Refunds are available only in the case of failure to deliver the agreed service or in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations. Please refer to our refund policy for more details.

5. Delivery and Completion

Delivery Timeframe: Proofit Proofreading will deliver completed work according to the specified deadline. If unforeseen circumstances arise, we will communicate delays to the client promptly.

Revisions: Clients may request revisions within 5 - 7 days after the delivery of the work. Revisions are subject to the scope of the original request.

6. Confidentiality

Privacy of Content: Proofit Proofreading takes your privacy seriously. All content submitted by clients is confidential and will not be shared with third parties unless required by law.

Data Protection: We comply with relevant data protection regulations and handle client data with care.

7. Intellectual Property

Ownership: The client retains ownership of all content provided. Upon completion of the service, the client retains ownership of the final edited work.

Use of Edited Work: Proofit Proofreading may use client work for portfolio purposes or promotional materials, unless explicitly requested not to do so by the client

8. Limitation of Liability

Proofit Proofreading will not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our services. Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service in question.

9. Indemnity

Clients agree to indemnify and hold Proofit Proofreading harmless from any claims, damages, or losses arising out of the content submitted for editing, including claims of copyright infringement or violations of privacy.

10. Termination

Proofit Proofreading reserves the right to terminate or suspend services to clients who violate these Terms and Conditions or engage in any unlawful conduct.

11. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Proofit Proofreading reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of any material changes, and continued use of the services after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Temecula, CA.
